Fuqiang CUI, Ph.D., Professor and Head of Department of Laboratorial Science and Technology &Director of Vaccine Research Center, School of Public Health, Peking University

He received his training at Lanzhou University, China (MD, 1990-1995), Hebrew University, Israel (MPH, 2003-2004), Basel University, Switzerland (PhD, 2010-2012), National University of Singapore, Singapore and Harvard University, USA (MPM, 2014-2015). He worked at the Gansu provincial CDC between 1995 and 2005, and worked in China CDC between 2005 and 2016, mainly in the National Immunization Programme and Division of Hepatitis (2005-2016). He joined Peking University in November 2016.

His research interests are infectious diseases, its epidemiology and prevention. He mainly focuses on infectious disease control, epidemiological research on vaccines and vaccine preventable diseases, immunization intervention, international cooperation, global health. Prof.Cui is an author of over 200 scientific articles published in JAMA, International Journal of Epidemiology, Journal of Infectious Diseases, Vaccine, etc. Prof. Cui is also the PhD student mentor in Public Health and Epidemiology in Peking University and Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. In addition, Cui currently serves as an Expert Resource Panel of hepatitis B in WHO Western Pacific Region and as a member of working group of Decade of Vaccine under Strategies Advisory Group Expert in WHO HQ. He is the key person in leading the research team on 10th, 11th and 12th Five Year Plan of National Key Research Project of Science and Technology on AIDS and Hepatitis in China. He has also experienced in working with NGOs and international Organizations.
